Why can't they all just get along?!

The day started out good, but it didn't stay that way. It wasn't horrible by any means, but I seriously considered muzzles for my girls. They got along great this afternoon while we were at our friends dance and play performances. One of the girls is in dance. She was so pretty all dressed up and she did a wonderful job on stage. She and her sister are in theater also. They performed in the play "Annie". It was great. They both did fabulous as did all the other kids. I enjoyed watching them and I look forward to watching Syd up on stage in the future. She starts theater this week and is so excited. What makes it even more exciting for her is that she'll be with her friend.

After the play I took Syd to get some new sandals. Her good pair broke while we were out yesterday. I chose Payless because there's one here in town and they are having their bogo sale. Unfortunately we didn't have any luck there. For starters the sales lady insisted that she only needed a size 6. She couldn't get her foot in them if she scrunched them up and forced them. She's in at least a 7 if not 7 1/2 depending on the shoe. She also has very wide feet so the regular sizes rub the sides of her feet and hurt. This Payless didn't have any wides in any of the shoes she wanted. I got frustrated and we left. It didn't help that Shay wouldn't quit putting in her two cents and making Syd mad. Their bickering made me decide to come home and forget the shoes. They decided to behave after we got home and all was well for a while so we went out to try again. I had a few coupons that expired today so I wanted to go to the commissary and use them anyhow. We went to Wal Mart first and Syd found some sandals that she loved right away. They were on the cheap rack even. My lucky day! We got to the commissary and they were still getting along until we got inside. They argued about everything from who got to push the cart to who got to get what off the shelves for me. I took over the cart pushing and decided to grab things for myself. Then they argued about who's fault it was that they got in trouble in the first place. UGH! I was glad to have that trip over with.

We got home and they both ended up in their rooms because the fighting continued. I was nice enough to let them come down for dinner which was a hard decision as irritated as I was with them. They got along okay after that, until just now. So I think it's time for me to get off of the computer, put them to bed super early and go to bed myself. Tomorrow is a new day! Hopefully a more peaceful day than today was.
