Birthday Year

I spent the day over at a friend's house yesterday. She was reading her friends blog to me and it gave me an idea. Her friend made a list of things she wanted to accomplish before her next birthday. I love the idea and have decided to get on board. I still have a couple months until my birthday, but I have decided to start getting my list together now. So what if it's not exactly a year and I give myself a couple extra months. I may need those extra months since my husband will not be present and accounted for during the first half of my birthday year. I haven't decided on a set number of things, nor have I decided exactly what will be added to my list, though I do have some ideas. I may even add to my list as the year goes on, who knows. We are an Army family after all, and as all my Army friends know, nothing in this life is ever set in stone. As of now we will still be on the island by my next birthday, but that could change in an instant which would change some of my goals. It could possibly change a majority of my list, but in this life, everything is subject to change. It's just a fact that we learn to live with. In the end, as frustrating as some of the last minute changes can be, it does make for an exciting life!

I haven't decided yet as to whether I will add a tab to my blog or just add another blog to track my progress. Either way I will keep it posted so everyone can hold me accountable. I find that staying on track is so much easier when you have others to hold you accountable. It's also a lot more enjoyable when you have friends along for the ride. You can bet there will be times when I call on a friend to join me in accomplishing a task on my list. I can only imagine the fun times that lie ahead in my next year. If all goes well, I will make this a tradition and every year make a new list. Maybe I will even get my husband and my kids on board. It would be great to sit down together and make up our lists and help each other in accomplishing new things. Who knows, maybe one of you reading this right now will also decide to join in on the fun. If you do, let me know. I would love to follow your progress and help you in accomplishing your goals.
