Must...Get...Sleep

I really wish I knew why I am having so much trouble sleeping lately. I'm so tired, but I just toss and turn. Some nights I totally get it. Like last night with two kids in my bed. Syd asked if she could sleep with me so I let her. I don't mind having one kid in my bed, but it's not big enough for any more. I like my space, unless of course my husband is home to snuggle. Sometime in the night Shay ended up on the other side of my bed. I was so squashed between the two of my wiggly little monsters. I made time for a nap this afternoon, but I only slept for a very short time before waking up. for some reason I just can't sleep. It's really weird because I love my sleep and usually have no trouble. It has nothing to do with the deployment because honestly I really and seriously don't worry. I know that's hard to grasp, even I don't know why those worry feelings aren't there this time, but they just aren't. I'm at peace with my husband being deployed and I know that God is watching over him. It's definately all God because the last two deployments I worried a lot more than I do now. Not that I didn't have God with me then, but I'm just closer to Him now. So really there's no need for me to be waking up all the time. I don't really get tired during the day though either, unless I'm at home with nothing much to do. By evening time I'm feeling exhaused though. Good thing it's time for bed by then. However, then I find myself sitting in bed playing around on the computer before I post on here. I guess it doesn't really matter how late I stay up because I'm just going to wake up off and on all night anyway. Oh well, this too shall pass!

There isn't really anything exciting about the day aside from our baby lizard encounter tonight. I went to tuck Shay in and noticed this tiny baby gecko on her wall. It was up too high for me to reach so I was trying to figure out how to get it down. I knew Shay wouldn't sleep at all knowing it was in her room. Luckily it started crawling across the wall and ended up falling on her chess set. I was able to pick up the box and carry the little critter outside to set him free. I was told by a lovely child of mine to get a shoe. HeHe. There's no way I could squash him. He was way too cute. He's safe and sound under the bushes in front of our house now.

I finally got another phone call this morning from my amazing husband! It's always great to hear his voice and this morning was no exception. We didn't talk for long, but he was laughing and sounded very upbeat. It always makes me feel good to hear that he's in good spirits. He was getting ready to get some sleep so I was happy about that too. He doesn't get as much sleep as he should with his days being so busy. I just want to hop on a plane and tell whoever I need to tell that my husband is an excellent soldier and he deserves his 8 hours of sleep, at least 6 anyhow. They all deserve their sleep. Not that me telling anyone would make a difference. hehe

I'm going to bed now and hopefully I can sleep all night long tonight. Nighty Night friends!
