I'm so tired, I have two little girls sitting here with me and I can't concentrate on what I'm writing to save my life. Last night I totally even forgot to blog. I didn't realize it until I got up this morning. We have been keeping so busy that by the end of the day I'm just so tired that my brain doesn't want to function and my body just wants to shut down for the night.
Church service this morning was fabulous, as always. Since it's Memorial weekend they focused a lot on the military and sacrifices they make. I really should have remembered my tissues. I knew what was coming before I walked out the door this morning, but totally forgot to stash tissues in my purse. I'm the girl that tears up every time I hear the National Anthem, whether my husband is deployed or not. It's much worse when he's gone though. I think I did pretty well under the circumstances this morning. It really helped that I had a good friend sitting next to me that is also going through this deployment. I was just really touched at how appreciative our church is of our military. This mornings service was beautiful!
After church we had our annual Splash Bash! It started out with water baptism. My Shay was one of the many who were immersed in water to emerge as a new creation in Christ! I'm so proud of her and I'm excited to see what God has planned for her life. I didn't know it beforehand but my sister and her daughter were also signed up to be baptized this morning. Shay got in line with her cousin and they decided to get into the pool and be baptized together. It was great!
After the baptisms we enjoyed the afternoon eatting and playing in the water. Well, the kids played in the water anyhow. They had a blow up water slide and a blow up slip and slide along with the pools. It was a fun afternoon. If you're my friend on facebook you can see more pics there!
We spent the rest of the day with friends. We picked up a crib, put it together, took the kids to the splash park, ate dinner together, watched a movie, started a fire in the oven...oops, did I really just admit that?! I guess I did and I'll also admit it was all my fault and that the hot dog bun didn't look so good after being saved from the flame. HeHe Just call me clumsy! That wasn't the first time I started a fire in an oven. In middle school I dropped the oven mit into the oven while we were cooking in class and it caught on fire. I should probably stay away from ovens, but I haven't burnt down a house, or a school, yet... On that note let me ask for prayers so that never happens! Nighty Night!
